P2C Math is a research-based, innovative curriculum designed to deliver robust content that answers this very important question. By connecting math concepts to more than 650 high-value careers, each student clearly sees the link between the math they are learning and their potential career.
P2C career tools and lessons are included in the Pathway2Careers platform. Students are encouraged to explore the career tools to support their individual career journeys.
P2C Math Curriculum:
- Courses in Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II
- Aligned to California state standards
- Over 650 high-value careers represented throughout the curriculum
- Three lesson types included in each course:
- Exploration lessons introduce concepts, definitions, and examples, highlighting how math applies to existing careers.
- Application lessons provide practice to strengthen skills and deepen students’ understanding of the link between the math they’re learning now and the jobs they’ll hold tomorrow.
- Illustration Lessons support students requiring foundational skill obtainment by providing the necessary building blocks required to reach a specific level of competency.
- P2C Math fosters continuous assessment through:

- summative assessments (with Quantile measures)
- assessment results comparing math requirements to careers
