How We Support Key Maryland Initiatives

Maryland is making bold investments to transform education and prepare every student for success in college, career, and life. Through the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future, new math standards, and a renewed focus on accountability, the state is working to raise proficiency, close equity gaps, and build a stronger workforce pipeline.

P2C supports this mission by equipping students with the skills, insights, and confidence to graduate ready for high-demand opportunities. Here’s how:

Transforming Math Learning Through Maryland’s Reimagined Sequence

Maryland is replacing its traditional Algebra I → Geometry → Algebra II progression with a two-year Integrated Algebra I & II pathway that blends algebra, geometry, and statistics into a unified, coherent learning experience. P2C supports this transition with a research-based curriculum built for this unified approach, career-connected examples that bring math to life, and professional learning modules that help educators implement the change effectively.

Advancing The Blueprint for Maryland’s Future

The Blueprint for Maryland’s Future represents a long-term, $3.8 billion annual investment in college and career readiness, a strong and diverse educator workforce, and expanded supports to ensure equity. P2C advances these priorities by offering career-aligned math pathways that prepare students for high-value jobs, providing teacher tools and training to elevate instruction, and engaging diverse learners through applied, real-world experiences.

Addressing the Drop in Math Proficiency

Student performance in math has declined across Maryland, underscoring the need for effective, research-backed interventions. P2C responds with conceptual, applied instruction proven to improve outcomes, built-in strategies aligned with MTSS to close learning gaps, and engaging lessons that reduce math anxiety while building confidence.

Supporting Maryland’s Emphasis on Data & Accountability
As Maryland increases its focus on accountability and data-driven decision-making, districts need transparent tools to track progress and meet state benchmarks. P2C provides embedded dashboards and reporting aligned with state standards, ensuring educators can monitor growth, evaluate program effectiveness, and make informed decisions for student success.
